You are just losing muscle mass, not the fat. The only way to get rid of the fat is to exercise. If a person can add muscle and not look at the scale when exercising you will eventually get rid of the fat. Because the more muscle you have the more calories your body will burn. This will make dieting a lot simpler to lose weight.
